Alexandra Lee
Cellist Alexandra Lee completed her Bachelor of Music Performance degree from the University of Toronto, in the studio of Simon Fryer. Ms Lee has participated in concerts with Earshot, Soundstreams, NuMus and Continuum. As cellist of the Downtown Quartet, she was winner of the Felix Galimir Award for excellence in chamber music.
She has participated in many summer music festivals, most recently the Banff Summer Music Festival in 2006. Ms Lee is currently the Principal Cellist of the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra, teacher at the Sudbury Symphony Conservatory of Music, and artistic director and co-founder of the chamber music series Silver Birch Concerts Inc.
In her spare time away from work, Ms Lee is endeavoring to continue studying and developing her craft with cellist Shauna Rolston.
